Prevent Child Abuse (PCA) Georgia (https://abuse.publichealth.gsu.edu/) works to strengthen families and inspire action through education, awareness and advocacy. As the state affiliate of Prevent Child Abuse America, PCA Georgia engages with partners and communities in prevention efforts throughout the state. • Providing resources and training to organizations and professionals looking to embed prevention strategies in their work.
• Running the 1-800-CHILDREN Helpline, which is centralized community resources guide that caregivers and professionals can use anywhere in the state to find concrete supports. People can call in to speak with a resource navigation specialist or search resources online.
• Leading the state and regional implementation of Georgia’s Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Plan.
